Class Detail - 8 Hour - Basics and Rules Relating to Backflow Prevention

Hours: 8 hours
Cost: $300
(All classes are 8 am to 5pm unless specified otherwise.)
TCEQ Course Code 1234: This eight hour class is primarily designed to provide continuing education for licensed Backflow Prevention Assembly Testers.  However, other licensed individuals may receive valuable information relating to their fields.  This course is classroom only and does not include the eight hours of “hands-on” or practical skills training as required by Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

Completing this course provides continuing education credit for the following licenses:

  • 8-hours of continuing education credits for licensed Backflow Prevention Assembly Testers (BPAT)

  • 8-hoursof continuing education credits for licensed Water and Wastewater Operators

  • 8-hours of continuing education credits for licensed Landscape Irrigators (LI)

  • 8-hours of continuing education credits for licensed Customer Service Inspectors (CSI)

  • 8-hours of continuing education credits for licensed Water Treatment Specialist (WTS)

  • 8-hours of continuing education credits for Code Enforcement Officers and Registered Sanitarians

 

 AUDIENCE

PREREQUISITES

Effective September 1, 2017, pursuant to TCEQ Reg-521 "Criminal History Guidelines", those with a felony criminal history should contact TCEQ Licensing Division prior to registering for a training course. Specific criminal history could negatively impact the ability to receive a TCEQ issued occupational license.

 

The participant must be currently licensed as a Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester, or other license as appropriate, to receive 8-hours of continuing education credit.
